She's back!

Harlow has returned home. Turns out she was in jail an hour after she was free. A random person was walking their dog when she ran up to them. Given the fact the other persons dog is unpredictable she wanted to get away from Harlow as fast as she could. So they tried walking Harlow followed! They started running, Harlow ran with them all the way to their house. The lady called city Bylaw and they picked her up. So she had been there or on their records lastnight when I had called them around 3:30! Either way, my girl is home safe and sound now and she's starting to cheer up finally! Enjoy her mug shot! :)

Harlow is missing!!!

I feel like the shittiest pet owner ever. I had company over Friday night until Saturday early morning, he left. I usually go out and check the gate to make sure it's properly closed but this time I didn't. Nothing happened, Harlow went outside as usual and always came back. Except for today Sunday around 2pm I let her outside again for the second time today and when I went to go get her she didn't come. Harlow always comes when you shake the treat bag, something wasn't right so I moved towards the gate and it was open.

Harlow had escaped. The thing about Shiba Inu's is they're not off leash dogs, if you want your dog to be off leash you make sure you are in a fenced in dog park. They're hunting dogs. Great for hunting, but are they for finding their way back home?

I quickly went to see if maybe she was in the front, nothing. I called my friend crying, she said she'll come home it's okay. I went a drove around, I posted ad's on Kijiji, Facebook. Called the city, 24 hour animal vet nothing. After my drive, I came home and began a walking search, no one had seen her. I couldn't even see her, she must be long gone by now. Hours went by, friends came over to help me search and still nothing. It's now 1am, 11 hours of her being outside in the cold. Yes she made for the winter but for long periods?

I feel helpless, worried, scared and one hell of a shitty dog owner. Part of me keeps thinking she'll come home, hell if my friends min pin/chu dog could find her way home after 5 hours of being gone chasing bunnies, why couldn't my little Harlow? But it's night time now, she doesn't like the dark, she barks at everything even a tiny leaf flying on the ground.

What if she got hit by a car? Some people are assholes and will purposely try and hit animals for the hell of it...

What if someone found her and wants to keep her? Then again if they have to take her to get fixed, or any animal vets she'd go to they'd scan her microchip and realize she was a missing dog.
Also my friend said Harlow is quite the little diva hell raiser (I don't see it lol) she says no one would be able to handle her for more than a day...(heres hoping!)

Just what if I never get to see her again, hold her, bug her. Have her randomly bark at me because she wants something. I ignore her because it's so cute when she's trying to communicate with me through her noises.

I'm just really sad about it. This is what it must feel like when people's children go missing...

Anyways I'll keep you all updated if Harlow is found...I really hope she comes home safely.

The clouds were so thick! (Taken with my iPhone 5). I love clouds, they're so peaceful and the shapes and stuff you can see in them sometimes.

12/365

I'm so behind. This project seems harder than I expected but I'm determined to do it. I know I started a day late, but I think because I missed yesterday and some other days I'm just going to skip on and say this is 12/365. That way I don't lose track.

I went for a perimeter walk where I work, there's so many beautiful nature shots around me I decided to take the following photos with my iPhone 5s. I've always been a huge fan of long empty roads and  the long row of trees look. I just wish in Alberta we had the maple trees like Ontario. Because this area with orange, red and yellow leaves would have looked spectacular.

I wasn't able to edit the photo because I'm at work, but thought this would be a perfect time to update my blog. Gotta love technology.

A revised goal for this project. I will only allow myself to miss the max 4 days a month to miss. I will try from this day on not to miss any but sometimes life steps in.

365 rules for myself

<center><a href="http://clickitupanotch.com/project-365-and-project-52-link-up"  target="_self"><img border="0" alt="Click It Up A Notch" src="http://clickitupanotch.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/125x125.jpg" /></a></center>

1) Check out other's blogs for inspiration and comment on their photo's!

2) Always have a camera on me, so I stop missing breath taking moments. (Trust me there has been a lot over the years).

3) Go out and explore my city more and take beautiful photographs of it. Learn to love the outdoors even if it's cold. (buy warmer clothing. lol)

4) Take more self photo's (Probably will during my weightloss journey.)

5) Edit daily learn the in's and outs of Lightroom 4.

6) Learn manual mode on my camera so I can "get off auto".

7) Be creative

What does the fox say?! Honestly I love my dog to death, she will probably be a lot of my photos. I work 12 hour shifts, 2 days and 2 nights. So I'll pretty much on the days I work look for inspiration around my house for photographs. On my wonderful 4 days off I'll take adventures which hopefully will inspire me.

Bunnies! I was driving home after a long day of work and in my back alley their was 6 Jack rabbits hopping around. Of course the only camera I had was my Iphone 5S, but I figured why miss this moment even if my Canon Rebel isn't with me. So here it is. 3 Jackrabbits just chilling waiting for my next move!

2/365

I guess this is a cheat, because I just finished my 12 hour shift and I'm tired so I decided to take a picture of my mess cluttered chaotic life. Not only am I trying to do this photography project, I just read this book called "The Project Happiness" By: Gretchen Rubin and I think it's a fantastic idea. Not saying I'm not a happy person, but in general I can definitely be doing more with my life to make me much happier than what I am. I think the first step is to organize and clean my home. Clean and organized home makes for happier people.

Harlow Day 1

This is Harlow and 8 month Shiba Inu in her first snow fall. Also my first day doing Project 365.

Project 365 starts today

Welcome to my crazy world.

I love photography, I eventually want to start my own business and become a professional photographer. It's hard work that takes a lot of practice and time so here I am, starting Project 365. What does that mean you ask? Every day for 365 days I take photo's of anything and everything and post it. As time goes on, the world and myself get's to see how my skills have gotten better. Right now I'm still on Auto and but the time this whole project is done, I want to be just on Manual mode. Anyone can do this.

Follow me in my journey.
